The PETZLAB Ecosystem — Preview

In this LUV package, we’ll walk you through a little bit deeper into our ecosystem. More details will be revealed as we go, and additional technical updates will follow.

🥚 The Eggs (NFTs)

Before we dive into our NFTs, for those who have yet to understand what NFT is, here’s a brief explanation.

Imagine you’re a stamp collector, and there’s this limited edition stamp that is being printed and sold, so you go buy those stamps for $10. One day, a billionaire wants that limited edition stamp that you own, and he’s willing to pay you $1000 for the stamps.
NFT is an abbreviation of non-fungible token, where it means these things are not interchangeable for other items because they have unique properties (like art, figurines, stamps, etc.). On the other hand, fungible items, like money, can be exchanged because their value defines them (like 5 bank notes of $1 are exchangeable for 1 bank note of $5 because they have the same value).

Now, in PETZLAB realm, our collection of eggs are the NFTs, where each egg will have their own design and traits. Your egg will be represented by an in-game character that you can choose for free once it’s been hatched, where we call this character as your PET.

Each character will have different properties as follow:

Token Capacity
Indicates the maximum amount of $LUV a PET can hold before you collect them. When the PEThas hold the maximum amount, they will stop minting $LUV.
Breeding Fee
The fee used for breeding eggs. The game is designed to allow you to breed the eggs and eventually sell them at the NFT marketplace.
Sleeping Time
PET, being a living creature, still needs some sleep. Generally, a PET can earn $LUV up to 16 hours a day and will require 8 hours of sleep each day. Lower sleeping time means the PET will earn more $LUV on daily basis.
Immunity
The PET can get sick and eventually die when you don’t look after them. Some pets will be stronger/weaker and will require less/more care.

Each egg will also have their own rarity level. Eventually throughout the timeline, there will be some limited edition eggs as well. Rare Eggs will have distinct traits compared to other pets in their properties listed above.

🐶 The Game — Virtual Pet Play & Breed (Simplified!)

So you have your egg, now how to actually get them to mint tokens for you?

It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3, like literally.

Hatch your egg
Once hatched, you can alter your PET’s skin (for FREE!!!)
Love your PET
Take care and shower your PET with love so it will grow up and mint more tokens. Make sure not to let your PETdie.
Breed and expand your Egg family tree!
Cross breed your eggs to have a unique egg of your own. You can hatch them, keep them as your collection, or even sell them!

Every PET has a health meter that is affected by three things:

Mood
PETs are a sociable being that would be stressed out if they were left alone, so don’t forget to check in and play with your PETs to make them happy!
Hunger
Just like you (and me), we’ll all be hungry if we don’t eat, right? So feed your PETs regularly to avoid them dying out of starvation.
Hygiene
Mom once said: Good personal hygiene is essential to promoting good health. Make sure to bathe your PETs regularly so they don’t smell (unless they’re a skunk) and you can nuzzle them (virtually) at ease.

When the health meter goes zero, your PET will die and go to NIRVANA. When this happens, half of your $LUV token in your in-game wallet will be burnt (and your pet will be sad!). It doesn’t affect your NFT EGG, you simply have to hatch it again and start over to mint $LUV token.

The token production and breeding rules will be revealed in upcoming updates, but pretty sure you get the grasp of it. It literally is a virtual pet and breeding game, simplified.

🍀 The LUVKEE DIP

So now you’ve earned a lot $LUV by breeding and taking care of your pets, huh? Then, what?

This is the first (from many) additional building blocks of the ecosystem that we’ll reveal. The 1st community game a player can get involved in is to win exciting prizes using their $LUV.

Players can swap their $LUV tokens for raffles tickets to win prizes such as:

Actual items. iPhone, MacBook, scholarship, mortgage payment, credit card installment payment, and many more!
An opportunity to win their $LUV back, should they win nothing on the bi-weekly draw.
